The internal medicine department is specially trained to diagnose and treat problems affecting the gastrointestinal, urinary, hematological, liver, endocrine, and respiratory systems using the most sophisticated, state-of-the-art technology. They collaborate with the other specialty services in order to develop a comprehensive plan to diagnose and treat your pet’s illness.
In order to provide accurate and comprehensive diagnostics, the internal medicine department is well-equipped with high-resolution video endoscopy and bronchoscopy, state-of-the-art high-resolution ultrasonography, CT scanning, and an in-house clinical pathology laboratory.
Our internal medicine department offers services that include abdominal ultrasound for evaluation of the GI system, spleen, liver, kidney, gallbladder, urinary bladder and pancreatic problems; cardiac ultrasound for heart and lung problems; endoscopic procedures for problems affecting the lungs, stomach, intestines and nasal cavity; and treatment for endocrine, intestinal, kidney, liver, lung, and immune-mediated and hematological diseases. Examples of these treatable diseases are Cushing’s disease, diabetes mellitus, Addison’s disease, and inflammatory bowel disease.
