Our Veterinary Rehabilitation Therapist
Michael Olic, LVT, is our veterinary rehabilitation therapist at Atlantic Coast New York Veterinary Specialists. He went to the University of Tennessee in 2016 to study canine rehabilitation and has been performing rehabilitation exclusively since then. Michael has a certification in penn-hip and pain management and sees patients daily who benefit from these services.

How can a hydro treadmill help my pet?
A hydro treadmill is a unique piece of equipment that allows a dog to start the rehabilitation process earlier than normal since they are in a buoyant state.
Using the treadmill allows the dog to return to normal muscle strength much earlier and in a safer way. Additionally, the treadmill’s warm water helps soothe and enhance the healing process.
The use of the hydro treadmill may be combined with other types of rehabilitation therapy to maximize the healing process and speed up recovery.
