Anesthesiology
We are delighted to welcome board certified anesthesiologist Dr. Jennifer Hess to our team of specialists. Dr. Hess brings an advanced knowledge of anesthesiology to bear for patients at higher risk for anesthetic procedures. There is always a bit of a balancing act managing the risks of anesthesia with the benefits of surgery and other procedures. Dr. Hess’ knowledge can increase the odds in favor of your pet to make sure they can get the procedure they need with the lowest possible risk.
Pets with heart conditions, chronic diseases or even aging can increase risks of complications from anesthesia. Dr. Hess will be consulting with the doctors are New York Veterinary Specialty Center on an on going basis as well as being available to actually perform the anesthesia for cases that require special care and attention.
We have a highly trained team of technicians, modern equipment and current protocols in place for all anesthetic procedures.
