Surgical Resident
Dr Maguire graduated with first class honours from the AVMA accredited veterinary program at the University of Sydney, Australia. Receiving awards in both diagnostic imaging and communication, he has completed a clinical year including rotations in Singapore and rural Australia. Following graduation Dr Maguire and his wife moved to California where he spent time in general practice in the San Francisco Bay area. Dr Maguire has successfully completed two surgical internships in New York and is currently a surgical resident at New York Veterinary Specialty Center.
His areas of interest include orthopedic and trauma surgery and has spoken at both local and international conferences on the topic of angular limb deformities. Aside from his clinical duties Dr Maguire is currently involved in research regarding elbow dysplasia and infection control.
A New York resident for almost 4 years Dr Maguire lives with his wife, two cats and two African Grey parrots and enjoys outdoor activities such as skiing, hiking and kayaking.
