Nina Malik DVM CVA

Integrative Medicine
Certified Veterinary Acupuncturist

Dr. Malik graduated from Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2005. After graduation Dr. Malik completed an internship in Small Animal Medicine and Surgery at the University of Pennsylvania. Following her internship, Dr. Malik then began working as an emergency and critical care veterinarian in a specialty hospital.

As an emergency clinician, Dr. Malik encountered numerous patients with chronis diseases, who had reached a clinical plateau with Western medical therapies. Wanting to help, Dr. Malik was trained and certified in Veterinary Acupuncture through the International Veterinary Acupuncture Society. She then completed another internship focusing exclusively on veterinary acupuncture in a holistic hospital in Pennsylvania.

Dr. Malik enjoys all aspects of Holistic Medicine, with particular interest in acupuncture for the treatment of musculoskeletal and neurologic diseases. She enjoys working closely with referring veterinarians and believes that a team approach, integrating Western and Eastern medicine provides the best possible care for the patient.

Dr. Malik will be heading our Integrated Holistic Medicine and Acupuncture Department. She offers clients numerous alternatives to traditional medicine while incorporating both Western and Eastern disciplines.

It is Dr. Malik’s hope that Integrated Veterinary Medicine becomes more recognized for the benefits it provides.
